It's fully functional. Works with usual LR44, G13 or A76 cells. Glass is clean, no scratches. Comes with eye piece and protective cap. Located in USA TTL/SPOT-metered prism viewfinder for Kiev 88 / 688 cameras General Notes The PV45 TTL prism viewfinder is applied with Kiev 88 / 688 or HARTBLEI 1008 / 1006 camera and gives an upright image of the photographing object at viewing. It permits to determine an exposure time and diaphragm aperture with the aid of built-in exposure meter and has two exposure metering modes: integral and SPOT modes. The integral metering is carried out in the central area of the viewfinder field of view. The central area has an oval shape of 30x50 mm size. This meter measures integrated brightness of the image. The spot metering sensitive zone is in the restricted area of rectangular shape of 5x10 mm size. The integral exposure meter ensures measurements in the range of brightness of 2 to 16 000 cd/m2. The spot exposure meter ensures measurements in the range of brightness of 8 to 16 000 cd/m2. Magnification of the TTL viewfinder eyepiece is 3x. The field of view measures 53x53mm. Film speed scale range - ISO from 6 to 3200, shutter scale range - from 1/1000 to 8 sec., aperture scale range - from 1:1.4 to 1:32. Voltage of the power source is 4.5V. The prism viewfinder fits Hasselblad camera body. Operating Procedure Insert the viewfinder in the finder mount on top of the camera body. Set the film sensitivity on the calculator by turning the film speed setting handle until the film speed value in ISO units appears in the ISO window. Set the lens speed (the maximum aperture of the lens you are using) by turning the aperture dial ring until the lens speed value coincides with the index. Turn on the prism by pressing a push button power switch. When the prism is on, release the button. The exposure meter will operate for about 30 sec., and then it will be automatically turned off. To turn it again, press the button once more. Required operation mode is selected by a same push button power switch, when prism is on. While viewing in the viewfinder eyepiece, if you see the middle signal (a small dot is lighted) it means SPOT mode is on. To change mode from SPOT to integral metering, or from integral to SPOT metering, press a power button once again. While viewing in the viewfinder eyepiece, direct the camera onto the object so that its image would be arranged within the field of view of the viewfinder. Depending on the brightness of the object, in the upper part of the viewfinder field of view you will see the luminescence of one of two LEDs. If you see "Insufficient light" red LED, located on the left in the viewfinder field of view, slowly turn the exposure dial knob counter-clockwise until "Sufficient light" second red LED appears. If you see "To much light" red LED, located on the right, turn the calculator knob clockwise until the second red LED appears. With the calculator in this position (two red LEDs light up), choose the required "exposure-aperture" pair by using the exposure dial and the aperture dial. Both LEDs may not always light. If this is the case, try to get it as close as possible. Set the desired exposure and aperture on the camera exposure scale and lens aperture scale. The viewfinder eyepiece design allows to use diopter lenses. To install a diopter lens, unscrew the clamp ring of the viewfinder eyepiece, set a Ø23mm lens into the fitting socket and fasten it by the clamp ring. Replacing the Batteries As a 4.5V power source, use three A76, LR44 or G13 cell-type batteries (Ø11.6mm x 16.2mm). The charge of the batteries can be monitored by LEDs, which light up in the field of view of the viewfinder eyepiece. The absence of LEDs with the meter ON-button depressed indicates that the batteries must be replaced. To replace or install the batteries, screw out the battery compartment cap and, taking care on the polarity ("+" on the battery cell should be placed in contact with the "+" symbol on the rear of a compartment cap), install it into the seat. Screw backs the battery compartment cap.
